Ascentant Accountancy have recently collaborated with University of Derby to deliver a practical new programme for Startups – The Business Builder.
Delivered by Adrian Peck of Ascentant Accountancy, The Business Builder is designed to help students turn their ideas into a real business.
The Business Builder provides clear, step-by-step guidance on everything from choosing the right business structure and managing finances to marketing, pricing, and building confidence when talking about what you do.
Each workshop is friendly, down-to-earth, and focused on real-world challenges faced by anyone starting out. Adrian combines his experience of supporting small businesses and startups with his background in coaching and communication to make complex topics simple, engaging, and easy to apply.
The programme is made up of short, interactive sessions that cover the essentials of running a business — from getting started and managing cash flow to promoting your services, staying organised, and planning for growth. Whether you’re exploring self-employment for the first time or taking your next steps as a business owner, Business Builder helps you develop the confidence, clarity, and skills you need to succeed.
As Adrian explains, “Business Builder is all about turning good ideas into something real. It gives people the confidence to take that first step, to keep going when it feels uncertain, and to build a business that lasts.”
