We were pleased to attend the University of Derby on Wednesday 5th March and present our Business Basics workshop to students.
Business Development Coordinator, Adrian Peck hosted a comprehensive workshop covering everything that students may need to consider when setting up their own Business.
This included:
- Business Structures
- Taxes
- Insurance
- Legal obligations
- Marketing
- Sales
- Banking
Director, Kevin Drew was on also on hand to answer technical questions and deal with day to day practical examples of how to apply the theory.
Kevin said “We were really pleased to be invited to the University and speak to Students who either have the potential to start their own Businesses or already have; As part of our Community Outreach program, we are getting out and speaking to more people at the grassroots of planning their Business ideas; Which compliments our strength in supporting the Startup ecosystem in Derby”.
