Here’s what your business needs to know.
Small company or micro-entity?
From April 2028, you’ll need to file a Profit & Loss account with Companies House.
Good news: You’ll be able to opt out of having it published on the public register. More details on this will be announced by Companies House.
No more web filing
Annual accounts will need to be filed using commercial software.
The Companies House online accounts filing service will close for annual accounts from 1st April 2028.
Do you need to do anything now?
- If you’re an Ascentant client, we’ll make sure you’re ready.
- If you file your own accounts, now is a good time to start looking at software filing.
There’s plenty of time, but planning ahead is always easier.
