A few weeks ago, the lovely Lucy Hardy joined the good ship that is Ascentant Accountancy here in our Derby based office.
Lucy comes with more than 15 years of experience from a global manufacturing company where she has been working as an Accounts Assistant. So why did she join Ascentant as our Finance Administrator?
“I was looking for a fresh start and a new challenge, I am enjoying learning new skills and working as part of a team again, everyone has made me feel really welcome.”
Lucy is working alongside our Cashier Manager Emma to learn all about the requirements of legal cashiering for our very important clients. She’s been looking at preparing, checking and processing high volume bank payments as well as posting disbursement invoices, Land Registry invoices, search fee invoices and any other client disbursements required on a daily basis.
All things that we do every single day here in the office some of which are new to Lucy and other tasks are those she knows inside out and back to front.
Lucy brings a brilliant laugh, a high capacity for work, a brilliant attitude to client care and a love of cats to the team (most of us have dogs!).
